The Detroit Lions are back home in Week 2, hungry to shake off the sting of their opening loss. Ford Field will be rocking, and Dan Campbell’s crew knows exactly what it’ll take to get back on track against the Chicago Bears.

Here are six keys for a Lions victory:

  1. Run the ball with authority
Last week’s rushing attack was flat. This time, the Lions need to punch the Bears in the mouth early and open up the whole playbook.
  2. Fix the O-line miscommunication
The offense stalled because guys weren’t on the same page. That can’t happen again. A cleaner, sharper line means Jared Goff gets time to work.
  3. Let Goff cook
When he had protection last week, Goff dropped dimes. If receivers create separation, he’ll pick apart Chicago’s secondary.
  4. Convert on 3rd downs
You can’t win if you keep stalling. The Lions must finish drives and keep the chains moving—no excuses.
  5. Shut down D’Andre Swift
Our old teammate is back in town, but the defense knows his habits. Stuff him at the line and don’t let him get comfortable.
  6. Contain Caleb Williams
The rookie QB is dangerous when he scrambles. Keep him boxed in, force him to throw, and the Lions defense will eat. Bottom line: This game is about toughness and execution. If the Lions stick to their identity—pound the rock, protect Goff, dominate on defense—they’ll walk away with a statement win at home.
