The Oklahoma Wildcatters and Professional Bull Riders will jointly respond to the query, “How many football players does it take to equal the weight of a bucking bull?” on July 11.

That’s the moment when nine offensive linemen from a collegiate football team in Oklahoma and a PBR bovine star will officially weigh in for the Wildcatters’ maiden PBR Teams homestand, which will take place at Paycom Center on July 12–14.

The gridiron titans will see how they compare to the animal athletes that astonish audiences in PBR stadiums across the globe in a first-of-its-kind matchup.

One of the two expansion contingents to join the PBR Teams league before the 2024 season was the Oklahoma Wildcatters. Bull riding is transformed from a solo sport into a team sport by PBR Teams.

Each PBR Teams event consists of four five-one-five games every day, with the winning team being the one with the highest score. The Wildcatters’ homecoming inside Paycom Center will carry extra significance since it will be the league’s 2024 season opener.

The Wildcatters and the Texas Rattlers, the current PBR Teams Champion, will square off in the bull riding equivalent of the Red River Showdown on July 12 during their homestand. The Arizona Ridge Riders on July 13 and the Austin Gamblers, the two-time regular season champions, on July 14 are next.

The complete roster of the Oklahoma Wildcatters will be present for the weigh-in. Head coach and legendary bull rider J.B. Mauney is in charge of the group. Recently inducted into the Bull Riding Hall of Fame, the two-time World Champion will guide a talented group that includes World Finals qualifiers Austin Richardson, Cort McFadden, and Kyler Oliver.

Along with Colton Byram, Eduardo Matos, Hagen Braswell, Dustin Herman, and two more Oklahoma locals, Hayden Harris of Tahlequah and Kase Hitt of Dickison, are on the roster.
