On Saturday, Stephen Jones stated that the team had made Dak Prescott’s representation an offer a few days prior.

Whether that is also the best option will become clear with time.

Wide receiver CeeDee Lamb has not shown up for the Dallas Cowboys’ third session in Oxnard, California, which is about to start.

As you are probably aware, Lamb is now holding out for what he believes to be a reasonable contract extension.

He is coming off of career highs in every significant category as he prepares to approach the last year of his rookie contract, his fifth year of options.

Even though training camp has started, the Cowboys are still working to find a solution. EVP Stephen Jones stated the organization sent him a new offer on Friday, per NFL Network’s Jane Slater.

Slater does not specify the details of the agreement, but exchanges of this nature typically include back and forth, and it is clear that Dallas has made other offers before.

Maybe this is going to be the one. While in Oxnard, Stephen had an interview with Nick Eatman of the mothership (which took place independently of the team’s inaugural press conference).

During the interview, Stephen was asked directly about the Lamb scenario, which is currently one of the main plot points involving the team.

This is what he stated. He also mentioned Micah Parsons and Dak Prescott. We’ve been talking with CeeDee and Dak over the offseason, as you are aware. and his delegates.

Deals like this aren’t simple. It goes without saying that your quarterback, who finished second in the MVP voting, will receive a high salary, as he well should. as one of this league’s best quarterbacks.

We’re attempting to accommodate two players who may be the greatest non-quarterbacks in this league; they will contend as much.

Although having these three players is a blessing, the salary cap presents a challenge.

As such, we must continue to negotiate and speak with the players’ and their agents’ representatives in order to finally draft a contract that will be advantageous for both the current and upcoming seasons. “These guys are young guys because they’re still in their prime.”

They are still very much football players. We’ll keep working on that. All of the negotiations seem to be going extremely well and are moving forward.

For now, the Cowboys will continue to follow this plot until it is resolved, or unless they take concrete steps to make that happen.

As of right now, we are aware that the team made CeeDee Lamb an offer on Friday.
