Adam Schefter: The Cowboys and CeeDee Lamb’s contract negotiations “remain at a standstill.” On Wednesday, the Dallas Cowboys completed their first week of training camp reporting. On July 24, both novices and experts reported – all but CeeDee Lamb.

The talented wide receiver is refusing to sign a new deal and is paying a $40,000 fine every day he misses practice. While the rest of the team is in camp, negotiations are still ongoing, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Not much progress has been made in the negotiations.

Regarding potential roadblocks to a new agreement, Schefter stated that the Cowboys are still figuring out how much Lamb’s contract is worth. Even though it’s anticipated that things will work out, much work remains.

“[Lamb is] still not in the Dallas Cowboys camp,” Schefter stated on Wednesday night on SportsCenter. Regarding the value that CeeDee Lamb would bring to Dallas in the forthcoming season, the two parties are still at odds. Figuring out the contract shouldn’t be that difficult.

Jerry Jones: Cowboys’ ‘intent’ is to get CeeDee Lamb deal done

Lamb signed a rookie contract after the Cowboys selected him out of Oklahoma with the 17th overall pick in 2020. He is currently in the last year of the deal.

He just had the best year of his career, establishing new records in all three categories with 135 receptions for 1,749 yards and 12 touchdowns.
