Over the course of the week, there has been conjecture in the NASCAR world over Pitbull’s future participation in Trackhouse Racing.
Trackhouse, led by former racer turned team owner Justin Marks and Pitbull, has taken the motorsports industry by storm since joining the Cup Series.
They have been extraordinarily successful and have given wheelmen like Shane van Gisbergen, Ross Chastain, and Daniel Suarez a chance. Pitbull’s departure from Trackhouse was a surprise, considering the team has a bright future ahead of them.
Marks, however, addressed that same issue on social media on Wednesday morning, angrily disputing Pitbull’s departure.
“The stories about my friend and partner, @pitbull, quitting Trackhouse are completely false in every way. Regarding the rumors, Marks stated, “unreliable’media’ perpetuating a lie.”
“We have exciting plans that extend beyond 2025!” That is as emphatic as it gets. Pitbull has been a fantastic asset to the sport since joining, so it appears he is here to stay, which is fantastic news for Trackhouse and NASCAR overall.
In addition, following this season, Trackhouse as a whole is ready to usher in a new chapter. Van Gisbergen will most likely replace Suarez and Chastain as a full-time participant in the Cup Series in 2025, with the former having already secured his spot through victory in Atlanta.
Suarez and Chastain are currently vying for playoff slots. Although nothing has been formally announced, SVG has been dominating the Xfintiy Series and proving why he is among the world’s top wheelmen when he makes several starts in the Cup Series.
The New Zealander has obviously excelled on road courses, but he is also getting better on ovals.
Despite being one of the newer teams in the Cup Series, Trackhouse has a track record of accomplishment. In 2022, Chastain came close to winning the Cup Series, coming in second behind Joey Logano.
They have defied predictions and smashed the stereotype of what a young squad should be. With the help of Pitbull’s arrival, Marks’ guidance, and the talent the team has amassed since entering the Cup Series, Trackhouse appears to have surpassed Richard Childress Racing to take the No. 2 spot in the Chevrolet team rankings, behind Hendrick Motorsports. That is an entirely distinct creature.
Trackhouse Racing plans to go on competing for victories and establishing a reputation both on and off the track in the future. Thus far, Pitbull and Justin Marks have shown that they are serious contenders in the NASCAR scene.
