Due to their transgressions, Kentucky must forfeit all 10 of their victories from their excellent 2021 campaign.
Gone is one of the best seasons in both Mark Stoops’s time in Lexington and the history of Kentucky football.
The Kentucky football program was one of the sports affected by the NCAA probe that resulted in wins from 2021 and a portion of 2022 being voided, it was reported on Friday.
Even though it was found that no employee was aware of the prohibited perks, the program was still fined a Level-II violation.
Eleven football players in all were discovered to have received payment for work they did not perform at a UK hospital; in other words, they were paid by the number of hours they did not work.

In the fall of 2022, Kentucky decided to self-report the infractions and then suspended a few of those players from future games.
“Kentucky has reached an agreement with NCAA enforcement staff on impermissible benefits that occurred in the football program and rules violations,” according to a release.
Kentucky will forfeit its 10 victories from the 2021 campaign and be put on a two-year probationary period. In 2021, Kentucky finished 10-3, winning the Citrus Bowl over Iowa.
Mark Stoops’s career record at Kentucky is now 63-65 after the vacated victories. He spent 11 seasons there. The Wildcats’ 10 wins in 2021 marked their second 10-win campaign in a four-year period.
However, in three of the previous four years, Kentucky has not been able to win more than seven games.
