As the Dallas Cowboys get ready for their first preseason game, CeeDee Lamb’s contract situation is the main talking point. The standout wide receiver is still holding out of training camp without having signed a new contract.
The drama of the contract dilemma took on another level when team owner Jerry Jones stated that he has no “urgency” to get a deal done with Lamb by Thursday, August 8. The 25-year-old receiver responded on Twitter by using the single word “lol.”
Head coach Mike McCarthy made keen to emphasize to reporters quickly after the event how much the Cowboys “miss CeeDee” and that his current circumstances are “business.”
