OXNARD, California — Following a workout on Wednesday morning, offensive tackle Cohl Cabral was signed by the Dallas Cowboys. Following his groin injury earlier in the week, defensive end Shaka Toney was dismissed or injured by the Cowboys as a matching roster move. Toney was only with Dallas for thirteen days.

Chuma Edoga, the offensive lineman, had a serious toe injury that is projected to keep him out of action far into the regular season, which is why Cabral was signed. Furthermore, offensive tackle Earl Bostick Jr., a second-year player, required assistance leaving the field on Wednesday due to a lower right leg injury.

Following two injuries to the group behind rookie Tyler Guyton and Terence Steele, the depth at tackle is now highlighted. Only Josh Ball, Asim Richards, and Matt Waletzko remain healthy bodies. Following Bostick’s injury, Ball entered camp as a left tackle with the second team; however, he had not yet received team reps at the position, with the majority of his work being done on the right side. Another depth possibility is rookie Nathan Thomas, although he has been out for more than a week due to injury.

Now that he is at camp, Cabral has a great chance to provide dependable depth behind the starting lineup. Among Cabral’s experiences are signings as an

after spending time with the Houston Texans and the Minnesota Vikings under Mike Zimmer, as an undrafted free agent signed by the Los Angeles Rams in 2019. He participated in spring football with the Birmingham Stallions of the United Football League.

Dru Samia, an offensive tackle that was formerly a fourth-round selection of the Minnesota Vikings in 2019 under Mike Zimmer, was also worked out by the Cowboys. Before being waived or hurt heading into his third season, he appeared in 15 games over the course of two seasons with the Vikings. He played in the United Football League for the Arlington Renegades following a spell on the New York Jets practice squad.
