According to reports, CeeDee Lamb has received an extension offer from the Dallas Cowboys, which would place him among the highest-paid wide receivers in the NFL annually.

That seems to be insufficient even now. According to NFL Media, Lamb has shown no interest in accepting the Cowboys’ most recent extension offer, which is reportedly worth about $33 million annually.

That amount would just fall short of Minnesota Vikings wide out Justin Jefferson’s $35 million yearly compensation as the highest of any NFL receiver.

Lamb has concerns about the proposed deal’s financial flow and guaranteed money in addition to wanting the Cowboys to raise the average yearly pay in their offer, according to a report by NFL Media. Entering the final year of his rookie deal, Lamb, 25, has not participated in Cowboys training camp and has not practiced with the team at all throughout the offseason.

There seems to be more urgency to close a deal as the season draws closer. But earlier in August, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones stated to reporters that the team is “not urgent about CeeDee returning.” Lamb made a “lol” comment on social media in response to the statement, which created a small stir.

“I know exactly how frustrating it can be to be worried about something and hear someone mention whether or not you’re missed. Alright, CeeDee, you’re missed. On the Cowboys’ pregame broadcast, Jones stated.

“But you’re not missed out here competing, and it doesn’t put any pressure any place on us.” Jones stated to ESPN a few days later that all parties are “conscientiously working to get something done.”

In his comments to ESPN, Jones continued, “We obviously do this because of how bad we want to be together.” “I know he wants to be a Dallas Cowboy and we want him to be a Dallas Cowboy, so I don’t flare too much when we see something that might be taken the wrong way, I really don’t.” Lamb just finished a successful career year. He finished second in the league in receiving yards (1,749) and first in receptions (135). In terms of touchdown receptions (12), he was third.
