Anthony Brown’s tenure with the Buffalo Bills has quickly come to an end. A week after being waived by the Las Vegas Raiders, the veteran quarterback was claimed by the Bills on August 20. With Mitch Trubisky and Shane Buechele out due to injury, the team needed backup quarterbacks.

As a result, Brown had less than a week to get ready for the team’s August 24 preseason finale loss to the Carolina Panthers, which ended in a 31-26 score. The Bills declared on August 25 that they have waived Brown in the first round of cuts, one day before Tuesday’s final roster deadline, despite his respectable performance against the Panthers.
