According to NFL Network, Lamb’s new contract would make him the second-highest paid non-quarterback in NFL history. He will also receive a $38 million signing bonus in addition to $100 million in guaranteed money.

This offseason, Justin Jefferson created history when he and the Minnesota Vikings’ top wide receiver agreed to a four-year, $140 million contract that will pay him $35 million annually.

With 135 catches for 1,749 yards, all single-season team records, and 12 touchdowns last season, Lamb allayed any concerns about his potential to become Dallas’ top weapon. After recording 935 yards as a rookie in 2020, Lamb’s third consecutive 1,000-yard season occurred. Lamb was selected with the 17th overall pick out of Oklahoma.

Meanwhile, star pass rusher Micah Parsons, who has amassed 40.5 sacks in three seasons since joining the NFL, is about to get paid. It remains to be seen how much of an influence Lamb’s extension and a possible extension from Prescott would have on that.
