The Los Angeles Rams will begin their 2024 season on Sunday Night Football against the Detroit Lions, in a replay of their Wild Card encounter from last year’s playoffs.
Matthew Stafford, the Rams’ quarterback, will return to Detroit after starting the first 12 seasons of his career with the Lions. However, before the game, Stafford’s wife, Kelly Stafford, made a disappointing announcement about whether or not she would be attending.
Stafford and the couple’s girls were booed when they returned to Detroit last season, so they decided to stay in Los Angeles and attend the game.

“Physically, I will not be attending the game in Detroit. After our incredible live show [on Sept. 7 in Detroit], I’m going to get on a plane and fly home to see it with my girls here, so that’s the plan.” – Kelly Stafford,
“The Morning After” It’s unfortunate that the Staffords were not greeted warmly upon their return to Detroit last season, and Kelly appears to have chosen not to attend the game with the rest of her family.
They will, however, have excellent seats for viewing the game at home, and you can guarantee that the rest of the Stafford clan will be out in force to support Matthew later this season.
