The Detroit Lions and their fan base are even more focused on achieving the same objective this season after missing out on the Super Bowl by one game the previous year. The Lions want to start the 2024 season strong as they host Aaron Rodgers on Monday Night Football, a familiar opponent.

No, we are not referring to the Dan Campbell Applebee’s commercial, but come on, let us give the guy credit for an incredible acting performance.

Everyone is submitting their predictions as the season gets underway; some are audacious, while others are your typical fare. However, one analyst has just gained a few more admirers.

Recently, Bill Simmons of The Ringer made a public statement about his prediction for this year’s Super Bowl winner.

Simmons declared a few days ago that he thought the Lions will win the Lombardi Trophy following this campaign. It is true that he predicted Detroit to win the Super Bowl.

A few days later, Simmons went one step farther with this exquisitely drawn image.

That concludes the matter. The Super Bowl is going to the Lions. However, that also raises a few queries for us in light of the image. Does this imply that the Lions will defeat the Houston Texans or the Kansas City Chiefs, or does the reader have to make that determination?

Either way, it would be an explosive matchup.

In addition to suggesting a delicious clash, Simmons’ picture makes us think the NFC will go to the North.

Bill Simmons teases a thrilling NFC Championship game between the Lions and Packers.

The Lions and Packers seem to be Simmons’ final two NFC clubs, based on the picture he created above.

How fun that would be, wow. Since the Bears and Packers’ January 2011 meeting, the NFC North has not produced an NFC Championship Game. Naturally, the injury to Jay Cutler that forced Caleb Hanie into action in the second half will always be associated with that game.

But now, Lions supporters do not give a damn about that game. Their main concerns are about how the Lions will handle things in the short term. And if it comes down to needing to win in Detroit against the Packers in order to go to the Super Bowl?

That will function. That will undoubtedly succeed.

Over the past few seasons, we have witnessed a lot of TV numbers and records soar, but that championship game might top them all. The matchup between the Lions and Green Bay in the NFC Championship game could perhaps change the face of television forever.
