When wearing their all-blue “blueberries” outfit, the Detroit Lions went unbeaten the previous season, winning even against the Los Angeles Rams in the Wild Card Round of the playoffs.

NFL Pickwatch reports that 86% of NFL pundits believe the Lions will defeat the Rams on Sunday Night Football in Week 1 to kick off the season with a victory. Players and coaches anticipate raucous, boisterous play at Ford Field, which might potentially impede the Rams’ offensive strategy.

“I anticipate it to be explosive right away,” stated Jameson Williams, a wide receiver. “I expect the field to be on fire from the moment we leave and the returners take it out for the first sixty and ninety minutes of the game.

I am aware of what they will do, what our fans will bring, and the mood they will create. I hope everyone else is ready for it, because I am.

After doing its homework, Detroit carefully inspected former Michigan Wolverines running back Blake Corum. Corum, who attended the nearby university, was chosen by the Lions for their local pro day and was given a tour of the squad before to the draft. In the end, the Rams selected him in the third round of the 2024 Draft.

Given his football IQ and work attitude, Sean McVay’s offense should benefit from the rookie’s contributions. Earlier this week, Dan Campbell shared his thoughts about the gifted rookie with reporters.

One more player that we genuinely cherished. Corum was very loved by us. We brought him in, we had the local day and everything, we got to sit down with him, and he was in our backyard, so we saw a lot of him,” Campbell remarked. “I have a great deal of respect for his style of play and history, but he’s just another football player.

Runs hard, intelligent, explosive, tough, quick, and he will fit them perfectly. There, he will blend in perfectly. I believe the two backs they have will be quite formidable.
