The Saints dominated Dallas, leaving the Cowboys in disarray.

The Dallas Cowboys entered the 2024 season full of optimism, energized by a thrilling Week 1 win against the Cleveland Browns. But in the NFL, fortunes change quickly, and that’s what happened when the Cowboys faced the New Orleans Saints in Week 2.

Jake Paul and Mike Tyson had a tense moment at Cowboys Stadium.

On paper, Dallas appeared ready for a deep playoff run. However, their latest game in Arlington left both fans and analysts questioning if the Cowboys are truly Super Bowl contenders.

Led by veteran quarterback Derek Carr, the Saints unleashed a powerful offensive display, scoring on every possession.  Alvin Kamara was unstoppable, slicing through the Cowboys’ defense like a preseason drill. By the end, the scoreboard showed a lopsided 44-19 loss. This wasn’t just a defeat—it was a statement by New Orleans, leaving Dallas stunned.

For a team with Super Bowl aspirations, this loss was a harsh reality check. No one recognized this more than Jerry Jones.

The Cowboys trolled the Browns with a viral ‘brownie’ video.

After the crushing loss, Jones, the Cowboys’ vocal owner, addressed the media. Instead of his typical swagger, Jones gave a more controlled but stern response. With Dak Prescott now the highest-paid player in NFL history, the expectations have never been higher—and the stakes, even greater.

Jones didn’t downplay the disappointment: “This is extraordinarily disappointing,” he said, his voice notably calm, signaling that this could be a critical juncture for the team. “We didn’t see this coming.”

The Cowboys looked strong in their opener, leading many to believe a Super Bowl run was possible. However, with this defeat, Jones delivered a sobering reminder that the road to the top is challenging. “You can think you’ve got it figured out too early,” he said. “There’s plenty of room for improvement.”

Dak Prescott faces increasing pressure.

As Prescott watched the game slip away from the sidelines, the weight of the loss was evident. After receiving one of the most lucrative contracts in NFL history, the expectations are clear: anything less than a Super Bowl is a failure. But with this setback, the doubts about Prescott’s ability to lead the team are growing.

Jones’ message was directed at Prescott and the rest of the team: time is running out to prove themselves. With a talented roster and a major investment in their quarterback, the Cowboys must regroup quickly to save their season.
