Detroit Lions rookie cornerback Terrion Arnold is facing a lighter wallet after receiving his first fine in the NFL.

In Week 2 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the No. 24 pick was penalized for a facemask, leading to a fine of $11,255.

In his first two career games, the former Alabama Crimson Tide defensive back has been flagged for three pass interference penalties in addition to the facemask violation.

Defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn mentioned in his weekly media session that the safeties complement each other well, and the coaching staff needs to maximize the secondary unit’s overall talent.

Brian Branch and Kerby Joseph appear to form a duo that could succeed for years to come.

Glenn said, “I think I mentioned last week, man, these guys haven’t had a chance to really – all five, including Amik (Robertson), haven’t had a chance to fully work together since OTAs and training camp, but now we’re starting to see it.

“And I’m talking about the corners as well. But you’re right, they complement each other really well, and we need to take advantage of their skillsets.”
