Sam LaPorta, the tight end for the Detroit Lions, avoided a serious injury to his ankle against the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday afternoon.LaPorta had to be wheeled to the locker room after sustaining a horrific ankle injury shortly before halftime of Sunday’s 20–13 victory.
