The Pittsburgh Steelers will put America’s Team to the test this Sunday when they visit the Dallas Cowboys on the road. The Cowboys’ offensive woes are well known, though, given that they dropped from an NFL-high 29.9 points per game in 2023 to an 11th-place average of 24.3 PPG this season.

Jerry Jones, the president and general manager, could try to restart the offensive by making a trade for a new wide receiver before the deadline of November 5. The production of the Cowboys wide receiver group has been lackluster, with the exception of No. 1 wideout CeeDee Lamb’s regular dominance and the rare big play by Jalen Tolbert.

Luckily, the Cowboys have recently acquired the ideal trade target to strengthen their position. Jones wants to go “all in,” after all.
Should the Cowboys Trade for WR? Adams Davante

The Las Vegas Raiders are reportedly willing to moving standout wide receiver Davante Adams, according to Michael Fabiano of Sports Illustrated.Michael Fabiano stated on social media on Monday, “Do not be surprised if Davante Adams has already played his last snap with the Raiders.” “The Raiders believe they can gain some value from trading for him. They are aware that this year will be a bust.”The Cowboys are a possible destination for Adams, according to Fabiano, but their salary cap predicament may make things difficult. The wide receiver, 31, has a salary cap charge of $25.3 million as of right now, but over the next two seasons, that figure soars to $44.1 million, according to Spotrac.

The Cowboys are expected to have just $27 million in space available for the upcoming offseason, for comparison.

Nevertheless, it makes complete sense to acquire a player of Adams’ ability if he is available and Jones can arrange the necessary funding. With 153 career games played with the Raiders and Green Bay Packers, the former Fresno State product has amassed nearly 11,000 receiving yards and 96 touchdowns, making him one of the NFL’s best receivers of the past ten years. Not to mention his three All-Pro selections and six Pro Bowls.QB Dak Prescott would have one of the greatest one-two punches in the NFL right now if Adams joined a wide receiver group that also included Lamb. Even with Prescott’s ability to throw for over 4,000 passing yards in a season, there should be no problem splitting up the workload between these two outstanding wide receivers. It is difficult not to get enthusiastic about Adams’ potential effect on the Cowboys’ championship hopes as the trade deadline approaches. As of right now, FanDuel Sportsbook has America’s Team tied for the ninth-best Super Bowl LIX odds (+2100) going into Week 5.
