The Raiders have reportedly told other teams that they would “consider” trading star wide receiver Davante Adams for a package that would include a second-round pick and additional compensation, according to a report from ESPN’s Adam Schefter on Tuesday, October 1. Following that post, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport said that Adams told the Raiders he “would prefer to be elsewhere.”

For a fourth-round pick in 2024, the Bears acquired Allen. Adams will draw more since he is marginally more skilled than Allen. For the Raiders, two day three choices is not a bad deal.
Adams’ “2024 salary is guaranteed, but 2025 and 2026 aren’t,” Payton reaffirmed, meaning the Raiders might clear cap room by dealing him. In turn, the Lions “would ultimately take on his $16.9 million base salary this season, but they would need to put in some work to ensure that they can reorganize.”
