Texas’s Frisco Due to a knee injury, wide receiver Brandin Cooks of the Dallas Cowboys has been placed on injured reserve. According to ESPN, this means he will miss the team’s next four games.
Cooks got an infection in his knee after getting a procedure in New York after the Cowboys win last week against the Giants. Cooks had been experiencing meniscus pain since training camp, but the Cowboys physicians were able to clear out the infection and resolve it.
Cooks will miss Sunday’s games against the Detroit Lions, San Francisco 49ers, Atlanta Falcons, and Pittsburgh Steelers. When the Philadelphia Eagles play on November 10, he is eligible to make a comeback.
In Cooks’ place behind CeeDee Lamb, the Cowboys are depending on Jalen Tolbert, Jalen Brooks, KaVontae Turpin, and Ryan Flournoy. Cooks has 91 yards and a touchdown on nine catches.
Micah Parsons (ankle) and DeMarcus Lawrence (right foot Lisfranc injury) both required time on the injured reserve list, which meant the Cowboys needed the position on the roster.
The Cowboys promoted defensive end Carl Lawson and cornerback Amani Oruwariye from the practice squad and signed linebacker Nick Vigil to the 53-man roster.
