ARLINGTON – This matchup between the Dallas Cowboys and the Detroit Lions at AT&T Stadium might have a significant impact on Mike McCarthy’s squad. With their current record of 3-2, the Cowboys are in position to benefit greatly from a victory as they approach their bye week.

We have selected three of the many storylines to monitor in the Game of the Week—issues that it seems like everyone is talking about. Will the Lions keep employing their “tricks”? You can bet your house that Detroit will have an offensive lineman report as eligible on at least one play during the game, assuming anything about Lions head coach Dan Campbell and his sense of play.

People seem to be forgetting about the phantom call on the Cowboys during their previous drive, despite the fact that THAT decision was the subject of much discussion during the last Dallas and Detroit game.

However, anticipate that Campbell—a feisty native of Texas and former Cowboy—will want to win this one. 2. Is it supported by Rico Dowdle or Jalen Tolbert? The difficult part is having to do it again after last week’s coming-out party versus Pittsburgh. This season, Tolbert has grown into a useful weapon for Dak Prescott (20 receptions, 247 yards, and two touchdowns), and the game-winning touchdown pass on fourth and goal demonstrated the fairness between the two players.

Rico was the bull out of the backfield, and even though he fell short of 100 yards on the ground, his performance in the run and pass games was impressive. Can Jalen and Rico step up once more in a game where Dak needs his running backs and receivers

3. Will the “Hoodoo” at AT&T Stadium End? Although labeling it a “hoodoo” would be a bit harsh, Dallas has now dropped three straight games at home against a team that was unbeatable at home from Week 2 of 2022 to the playoffs in 2023 (16-0). More worrisome is the fact that the Cowboys have been outplayed in every game. It is not ideal to get punked in your own stadium, and Detroit is a team that knows how to intimidate and demoralize an opponent when given the opportunity.

It looks like a fantastic time to end that ugly losing run and record that first W.
