The Detroit Lions have started the season 4-1 and are eyeing a championship run. This weekend, they face a crucial matchup against the 5-0 Minnesota Vikings.

Aidan Hutchinson’s recent injury has pushed Detroit to explore trade options to maintain their defensive line’s strength. It seems they’ve already contacted another team about a potential player.

Daniel Yerushalmi originally reported the news:

It’s logical for the Lions to seek help outside the organization to replace their top defender, with Haason Reddick reportedly being their main trade target. Although the Lions boast one of the best offenses, they’ll need a strong defense to advance from the NFC and reach the Super Bowl.

According to NFL insider Jeremy Fowler, Reddick is the top option, and the Lions have approached the New York Jets regarding the Pro Bowler:

“The #Lions have checked in on the Haason Reddick situation, per source. It might just be due diligence, but Dan Campbell confirmed that GM Brad Holmes is putting in the work, and this appears to be part of it,” Fowler reported.
