Dallas Cowboys and Dak Prescott had a rough game, with Prescott becoming the first Cowboys player since Troy Aikman in 1992 to throw two or more interceptions in three consecutive games.

As ex-Cowboys players, like Dez Bryant, voiced their frustrations, Prescott addressed the team’s struggles and his recent form.

Prescott threw for 243 yards and two touchdowns but also tossed two interceptions on Sunday night. After the game, he candidly admitted fault, particularly for one interception, calling it a “bonehead” error, as reported by 49ers Web Zone.

“Don’t turn the ball over, period,” Prescott said. “I don’t need to be perfect, but I can’t afford turnovers. I just have to eat that one and take the sack. The second pick was a total bonehead throw—I was trying too hard to make a play. Should’ve tossed it away. Wish I’d put more power on it; it’d be either CeeDee [Lamb] or out of bounds. That one hurt, especially starting the third quarter and leading to a touchdown. Touchdowns made the difference here. Again, we lost the turnover battle, and that’s on me. I have to fix that, plain and simple.”

Cowboys’ Dak Prescott feels “frustrated” following team’s defeat

Dallas fans may be understandably disappointed with recent results, especially with Prescott, who signed a lucrative extension just before the season. However, the 31-year-old took responsibility, admitting he feels “frustrated” with his performance and its impact on the team.

“I’m personally frustrated—frustrated with my play,” Prescott said. “The guys are probably just as frustrated about not getting a win. Back-to-back losses, sitting at three and four. But I can assure you, nobody’s panicking or giving up. Frustration is high, but it’s a long season. There are many division games left and plenty ahead. Frustrated is the best way to describe it.”

One bright spot was wide receiver CeeDee Lamb, who, fresh off a contract extension, had 13 receptions for 146 yards and two touchdowns. Although pleased with his performance, Lamb still expressed disappointment post-game, though he remained optimistic about the team’s future.
