Michael Irvin told TMZ Sports that if his beloved Cowboys don’t make a move before the trade deadline next week, their season could be over. The Hall of Famer clearly stated at LAX on Monday that the only way to rescue his former team from becoming irrelevant is to acquire a crucial player before the NFL’s trading deadline on November 5.

Irvin emphasized that if the Cowboys don’t enhance their roster through a trade, they could face many more losses like the one against the 49ers on Sunday night.

“They need to take action,” the Hall of Famer stated. “It’s really concerning at the moment.”

With a 3-4 record, Dallas has struggled to compete in their four losses, and their performances in wins have been lackluster as well. However, Irvin believes that making a trade could turn things around for them.

Irvin didn’t mention any specific players he wants the Cowboys to target, but NFL.com reports that receivers like Diontae Johnson, Adam Thielen, and Mike Williams might be available, and any of them could assist the struggling Dak Prescott. Regarding Mike McCarthy’s future in Dallas, Irvin isn’t demanding his dismissal just yet, but he cautioned that if things don’t improve soon, the coach could be searching for a new job by 2025.
