The Dallas Cowboys are facing challenges this season, currently holding a 3-4 record after a six-point loss to the San Francisco 49ers last Sunday night.

Recently, the team made notable roster changes. Veteran cornerback Amani Oruwariye has been placed on Injured Reserve, while All-Pro cornerback DaRon Bland has been activated from Injured Reserve.

Losing a seasoned player like Oruwariye right after a defeat isn’t ideal for the Cowboys. He recorded three pass deflections, an interception, and 20 tackles over four games this season under Mike Zimmer’s defense.

On the other hand, Bland’s return could significantly boost the defense. Last year, the former Fresno State standout led the league with nine interceptions and set an NFL record with five pick-sixes, establishing himself as one of the top players in the secondary.

The Cowboys are still awaiting the return of star edge rusher Micah Parsons, who is recovering from a high-ankle injury.

Looking ahead, Dallas’s schedule remains tough, as they will face four teams currently in playoff contention over the next month, including two divisional and two road games.

Bland’s comeback is crucial for Dallas, given his playmaking ability. However, the team still has work to do and urgently needs victories.
