With the team reeling from three straight losses, Dallas Cowboys Nation is going through a difficult moment. Against the division foe Philadelphia Eagles, Dallas will have the difficult chore of trying to recover, something the oddsmakers do not think they can do.

Some have speculated that the team is packing it in for the 2024 season since Dak Prescott looks destined for the injured reserve list, where he will miss at least four games.

But some NFL media pundits are going too far in their criticism of Prescott.

On FOX Sports 1’s The Facility, former NFL players Emmanuel Acho, LeSean McCoy, James Jones, and Chase Daniel talked about Prescott’s injuries and mysteriously came away with the opinion that Prescott “quit on his team.”

It is a careless, ridiculous, and thoughtless assumption to make.

Are we witnessing more turnovers than usual because Prescott is having a poor season? Of course. Was it him who “quit” the team? Absolutely not.

“The disrespect is at an all-time high smh,” said former Cowboys safety Barry Church in response to the absurd interpretation. This is completely nonsensical and out of pocket.

After the Cowboys’ Week 9 loss to the Atlanta Falcons, Patrik Walker, who covers the team for DallasCowboys.com, responded to the panel’s contempt in another way.”I watched as Dak Prescott could barely get up the stairs and onto (and then off of it) the charter flight because of the injury,” he wrote in X. “Tried to return to that game as well. A second medical opinion was also sought. From home, tell me more about what you witnessed.

The quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys endures more disrespect than others. Prescott’s performance in the first two months of the season has earned him his share of criticism, but the talking heads have reached a new low when they claim he “quit” the team due to an injury.

However, when the Dallas Cowboys bring in the ratings, that is what occurs. Whether they are fair and true or not, you will be slandered and subjected to reprimands.
