After a tough week marked by a five-interception game, Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff delivered a remarkable comeback in the team’s 52-6 rout of the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Lions head coach Dan Campbell commended Goff’s ability to rebound, emphasizing his determination and commitment to improvement.
Campbell described the previous week’s circumstances as “unusual” but stressed Goff’s steadfast confidence in both himself and the team. “I said this last week—he didn’t play a bad game.
The events that unfolded were just, well, bizarre,” Campbell told Sports Illustrated. “But for him, it’s like, ‘Whatever happened, I’ll be better next time.’”

Campbell wasn’t surprised, calling Goff a “star” and applauding his continued excellence. “Goff was phenomenal, as he’s been for a while now. That’s the caliber of player we have,” Campbell said.
