‘I’m Eventually Going to Have Kids Running Around,’ Christen Harper Goff Shares
On September 6, Christen Harper Goff appeared as a guest on the “The Morning After with Kelly Stafford & Frank” podcast, where she discussed her charity efforts, particularly her work with Forgotten Harvest.
The non-profit organization provides “144,000 pounds of surplus food per day to local charities five days a week,” offering fresh, nutritious food to families in need, according to their website.
“I feel like their reach is incredible, touching so many lives. So, for me, getting involved with them has become a priority. I try to go almost every week,” Harper explained.
She also opened up about her future plans with husband Jared Goff.
“I feel like I need to acknowledge how privileged I am to have the time to do this work. Many people don’t,” she said. “So, I don’t want anyone to feel bad.
I know how lucky I am. Someday, I’ll have kids running around, and my time might be limited. Then, I might support in other ways. But for now, I’m making the most of the time I have.”
Christen Harper Goff Shines at Lions vs. Jaguars Game
On November 17, Harper shared her game-day look on Instagram before the Detroit Lions faced the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Perhaps her support brought good luck, as the Lions triumphed over the Jaguars with a decisive 52-6 victory.
Harper has been a constant at Goff’s Lions games since he joined the team. On the podcast, she praised the loyalty of Detroit Lions fans.
“The (NFL) draft was amazing,” she noted. “When we first moved here, we were shocked to see the stadium almost sold out, even though the team wasn’t doing well that year. That kind of support is rare—it’s incredible to see fans show up knowing they might lose.”
She also expressed her appreciation for Michigan’s fall season.
“I didn’t really know what fall was until I moved here,” said Harper, a California native. “Now, I’m genuinely excited to see the leaves change and visit apple orchards.”
