This past Sunday, the Detroit Lions continued their strong season, defeating the Indianapolis Colts 24-6 to improve their record to 10-1.

However, the win came at a cost, as the Lions lost key players to injury, including Pro Bowl return specialist Kalif Raymond.

Raymond’s injury left a gap in the return game, prompting Amon-Ra St. Brown to take over punt returns. While fans admired St. Brown’s versatility, there was concern about risking their top wide receiver in such a role.

On Tuesday, Lions head coach Dan Campbell addressed the situation on 97.1 The Ticket, confirming that St. Brown would not handle punt returns during the Thanksgiving Day game against the Chicago Bears.

“He’s just so damn reliable,” Campbell said of St. Brown. “If he wasn’t that reliable, maybe we wouldn’t put him back there.”

With Raymond likely out for the game, the Lions must find a new punt returner. The team will look to maintain their high level of performance as they aim to build on their strong record. Updates on Raymond’s replacement are expected soon.
