The Dallas Cowboys have been in the spotlight lately, as their performance has fallen short of expectations. While the team has faced challenges, including a possible uncertain future for head coach Mike McCarthy, one of the most talked-about rumors involves Deion Sanders. His success at both Jackson State and Colorado has sparked speculation that he might move to the NFL and take over as head coach of the Cowboys.

Jimmy Johnson, a Hall of Fame coach who led the Cowboys to two Super Bowl titles, recently weighed in on the speculation. Johnson, who has a close relationship with Deion Sanders from their time together in Dallas, dismissed the idea of Sanders coaching the Cowboys. “No, I don’t think that’ll happen,” Johnson said during a segment on FS1’s Facility.

He went on to express admiration for Sanders but noted that his strength lies in recruiting talent, not necessarily in the NFL coaching environment. Johnson also praised the talented coaching staff Sanders has at Colorado, which has contributed to his success at the collegiate level. Despite these achievements, Johnson doesn’t see Sanders making the jump to Dallas anytime soon.

Deion Sanders, who played for the Cowboys and won a Super Bowl with them, has a strong connection to the team. However, Johnson’s insight carries weight due to his own history with the Cowboys, and his comments reflect his belief that the situation would not align for Sanders in Dallas.

In other Cowboys news, wide receiver CeeDee Lamb is determined to play in the team’s Thanksgiving Day game against the New York Giants. Lamb has been battling back and foot injuries, but his commitment to the team remains unwavering. Despite being listed on the injury report, he is pushing through the pain in order to help the team secure a win.

Lamb acknowledged that this has been a tough season for him physically but stressed his dedication to being there for his teammates. “I’m willing to do whatever… to have my presence felt,” he said, underscoring his leadership and determination. His resilience has been a defining feature this season, as he has played all 11 games so far.

Lamb has continued to shine individually, leading the NFL with 77 receptions and ranking third in receiving yards with 841. However, the Cowboys’ disappointing 4-7 record has been a setback, and Lamb’s performance has been affected by quarterback Dak Prescott’s absence. Lamb’s average yards per catch has dropped significantly in recent games, highlighting the impact of the team’s struggles. Despite these challenges, Lamb remains a key contributor to the Cowboys’ offensive.
