The New York Giants managed a few late scoring drives in Arlington on Thursday afternoon, but it wasn’t enough as they fell to the Dallas Cowboys, 27-20, at AT&T Stadium. Quarterback Drew Lock stepped in for the injured Tommy DeVito, who served as the emergency third-string quarterback, and threw a pick-six while also losing a fumble. Lock did add 57 rushing yards and a touchdown late in the game, but his turnovers proved costly. “This is one of my first chances to play a full game with these guys and show them what I can do,” Lock said. “Aside from the turnovers and a few other mistakes, it was a bit of a roller coaster—some good, some bad.” Despite the loss, there were signs of progress. The Giants briefly held their first lead since Week 5, and they scored their first rushing touchdown since Week 2. As the losses continue to pile up, New York is rising in the NFL Draft order. Following their defeat to the Cowboys, the Giants are now in position to claim the No. 1 overall pick for April’s draft, with a .167 win percentage at 2-10. This puts them ahead of the Jaguars and Raiders, who both sit at 2-9 with a .182 win percentage.
