The Green Bay Packers, now 9-3, held practice on Sunday in preparation for their Thursday night showdown against the 11-1 Detroit Lions. The Lions aim to inch closer to securing the NFC North title this season.

Second-year tight end Tucker Kraft has been a standout for the Packers’ offense, excelling both as a receiver and a blocker.

Packers Tight End Tucker Kraft Makes Bold Statement Ahead of Lions Clash

Following Sunday’s practice, several Packers players spoke with the media, including Tucker Kraft. When asked about Lions safety Kerby Joseph, Kraft told Ryan Wood:
“He’s taken some of my brothers out of the game, and I think about that too. So if I get a chance to get my hands on him, you know, playing football.”

Thursday night’s matchup could be intense if Kraft and Joseph cross paths. Earlier this season, Joseph’s teammate Brian Branch was ejected in a game against the Packers.

Kraft’s Performance This Season

Kraft has logged 36 receptions for 480 yards and six touchdowns, averaging 13.3 yards per catch on 49 targets. With injuries sidelining Luke Musgrave, Kraft has emerged as the team’s top tight end and is on track to surpass 600 receiving yards in his second NFL season.

In the previous matchup with Detroit, Kraft had four receptions for 34 yards on six targets but didn’t score. This time, he could see an expanded role, potentially making an impact in both the passing and running games as he looks to leave his mark against the Lions.
