Minnesota Vikings cornerback Byron Murphyhas made it clear he’s had enough of the Detroit Lions’ dominance, especially after their dramatic 34-31 win over the Green Bay Packers. That victory, which extended the Lions’ impressive 11-game winning streak, only added fuel to the media fire surrounding Detroit’s rise. Murphy expressed his frustration with the constant chatter about the Lions’ success, revealing how tired he is of hearing about them.

“I didn’t like that Detroit came out on top. It was a good game, but Green Bay definitely had some opportunities to play better. Still, Detroit won, and that’s how it goes in football,” Murphy shared with KSTP in Minnesota. “But we’ll be seeing them soon.” His tone suggested a mix of irritation and competitive drive, as he acknowledged Detroit’s growing dominance while also making it clear that he’s had enough of the ongoing praise.

Murphy’s irritation seemed to boil over when he spoke more candidly about the constant media focus on the Lions: “I’m just tired of hearing about them. It’s all Detroit talk, and it’s been nonstop. I’m over it.” His comments highlighted the growing tension as the Lions continue to be the talk of the NFL, with their impressive offense and steadily improving defense making them legitimate Super Bowl contenders.

For Murphy and the Vikings, this buzz around Detroit is particularly frustrating as they struggle to keep up in the NFC North. While the Lions sit at the top of the division, Minnesota is left trying to close the gap. The continued success of Detroit has only intensified this rivalry, making Murphy’s annoyance understandable as his team plays catch-up.

As the Lions chase the NFC’s No. 1 seed and the media hype continues to mount, the Vikings—led by Murphy—are undoubtedly looking for ways to silence the Detroit noise. The division race is far from over, and the Vikings have several chances ahead to prove they’re ready to challenge the Lions. For now, though, it seems the Vikings will have to deal with the frustration of hearing about Detroit’s success—at least until they get their own shot at taking them down.
