Jaycee Horn is dealing with a groin injury, and Lonnie Johnson Jr. is out with a neck injury, which spells trouble for a secondary that’s already allowed the second-most passing touchdowns this season. Additionally, the Panthers’ secondary is struggling to create turnovers, averaging only one interception every two games. Cowboys fans will also see Xavier Woods return to action this week, although he’s had an inconsistent season. Opposite Horn, veteran cornerback Mike Jackson, who joined the Panthers from Seattle this year, has allowed the tenth-most receiving yards and seventh-most receptions. If CeeDee Lamb is in your fantasy lineup, expect strong numbers from him, as he has one of the most favorable matchups at wide receiver this week.

Conclusion: The Cowboys’ secondary is starting to improve, with DaRon Bland getting more experience each week. Malik Hooker, who had an interception last week, and Donovan Wilson, who contributed a sack and played better overall, provide a boost.

Result: Cowboys Win

Brandon Aubrey delivered a solid performance last week, making two field goals and two extra points to help keep the game close. This week, he will be aiming for even more extra points instead of field goals.

Carolina’s kicker, Eddy Pineiro, has an 87% field goal success rate, ranking 15th in the league, with 20 successful kicks. However, two of his three misses this year came on attempts from 50 yards or longer.

KaVontae Turpin remains one of the most dangerous kick returners in the league. Coaches are scheming to keep the ball away from him to avoid giving him any opportunity to break a big return.

Raheem Blackshear handles Carolina’s kick returns, averaging 25.2 yards per return, ranking 34th in the league. On punt returns, he’s averaging 8.5 yards, ranking 28th. Keep an eye on his status this week, as he may be sidelined with a chest injury.

Result: Cowboys Win
