Detroit Lions’ star defensive end Aidan Hutchinson has been sidelined for much of this season due to a broken leg, but the team has managed to maintain a strong 12-2 record. Despite this, Hutchinson’s absence has been felt. On December 17, during an appearance on NFL Network’s “Good Morning Football,” Hutchinson revealed that he’s focused on returning in time to play in the Super Bowl, should the Lions make it that far.

In his interview on “The Squeeze,” Hutchinson confirmed that he is on track to meet his goal of being back for the Super Bowl. He shared his motivation with his teammates, telling them, “Just get there, and I promise I’ll be back.” He also mentioned a conversation with his mother, where she expressed concern about his recovery. Hutchinson reassured her, saying, “There’s no other way.”

The defensive star also shared that his recovery is progressing well, and he’s now able to walk with just one crutch. Reflecting on the moment of his injury, Hutchinson admitted that it was a tough blow, especially given the career year he was having. He explained that his momentum during the season was abruptly halted, and he was devastated by the thought that his Super Bowl dreams and Defensive Player of the Year aspirations might be gone.

However, Hutchinson is optimistic now, believing he could return in time for the Super Bowl, depending on the Lions’ success in the postseason. It’s now up to the team to secure a spot in the NFC Championship and aim for a championship win
