The Detroit Lions handled their business on the road against Caleb Williams and the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field on Sunday, proving they are serious NFC Championship contenders despite a recent string of injuries. On Monday, Lions head coach Dan Campbell provided updates on the potential returns of two key defensive players who have missed significant time this season. Campbell stated that linebacker Jalen Reeves-Maybin could make his return for the Lions’ game against the 49ers on December 30. Reeves-Maybin, who has recorded seven tackles and one forced fumble this season in limited action, has been sidelined since November 3 due to a neck injury he sustained in Week 9 against the Houston Texans. He was placed on injured reserve after the injury. Campbell also mentioned that offensive guard/center Graham Glasgow is expected to return this week. Meanwhile, linebacker Alex Anzalone is “close” to beginning his practice window, though Campbell noted that it’s uncertain if he will return this week.
