Amik Robertson has a strong message for those criticizing the Detroit Lions following their disappointing playoff loss to the Washington Commanders. Despite suffering a broken arm during the game, Robertson is determined not to let the injury or the early exit define the team’s future.

Lions’ Resolve and What’s Ahead

Although the Lions entered the playoffs as the NFC’s top seed, their postseason run ended abruptly. While injuries were cited as a factor in the loss, Robertson emphasized that the team won’t use that as an excuse. Instead, he views the criticism as motivation to come back stronger next season.

In a candid interview with TMZ’s Shannon Person, Robertson made it clear that the Lions are fully aware of the doubters and are using that energy to fuel their determination. “At the end of the day, man, all this is going to hit full circle. Man, as mad and as much anger and fire as I got in me because I couldn’t finish out the game and that I was injured, I’m not going to bring up injuries and say injuries were an excuse,” Robertson said.

“We’ll Return Stronger”

Robertson reiterated that the team’s loss wasn’t due to injuries, and the Lions are not using them as a reason for their early playoff exit. He emphasized that the focus now is on the passion and drive that will push them forward. “It wasn’t the reason that we lost and couldn’t get over that hump, but we’ll be back. We’ll be back healthy, and just know we’re keeping all the receipts.”

His message to critics was direct: they plan to turn the doubt and negativity into fuel for their future success. “It is okay when you fail and you see people doubting you. That’s how I came up. That was my fuel to my fire, doubt. So we’ll be back. It is all good, but we’re definitely keeping the receipts.”
