During Super Bowl week, Myles Garrett made the rounds on radio row, where discussions about potential trades and moves were in full swing. When Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press inquired about the possibility of Garrett joining the Detroit Lions, the Cleveland Browns’ standout edge rusher gave a brief yet courteous reply: “Not yet.”
Garrett, recognized as one of the NFL’s most formidable defensive players, has recently been connected to several teams, including the Lions, as they focus on bolstering their defense. Despite the speculation, it seems Garrett isn’t ready to address what his future holds beyond the current season.
While the Lions would undoubtedly be eager to strengthen their defensive line by adding Garrett, especially to complement Aidan Hutchinson, it appears the All-Pro pass rusher is keeping his attention on the present rather than what might happen in 2025. Nevertheless, Garrett has reportedly requested a trade from the Cleveland Browns, and it would make sense for the Lions to pursue a move to acquire him.
