Cleveland Browns defensive star Myles Garrett has dominated NFL headlines after formally requesting a trade, with speculation mounting as the Super Bowl approaches.

One team that seems like a logical landing spot is the Detroit Lions, who are still looking for a consistent pass-rusher to complement Aidan Hutchinson. The buzz intensified when a photo surfaced of Garrett in conversation with Hutchinson and Lions quarterback Jared Goff at the NFL Honors ceremony in New Orleans, quickly capturing the attention of fans.

Many Detroit supporters began hoping that the two Lions captains were actively recruiting the 29-year-old defensive lineman to join their team.

Garrett recently addressed his trade request, emphasizing that his motivation isn’t about personal accolades. Instead, he wants to contribute to a championship-contending team as his career enters its later stages.

“For me, it’s never been about individual records or even the Hall of Fame,” Garrett shared with Rich Eisen earlier this week. “It’s about winning, about bringing a championship to the city—whichever city that may be. That’s the legacy that matters: how you’re remembered by your teammates, your peers, and your community.”

When asked on the red carpet at the NFL Honors whether Detroit might pursue a trade for Garrett, Hutchinson acknowledged the growing speculation but remained uncertain.

“People keep bringing that up to me, but I really don’t know,” Hutchinson admitted to the Free Press. “I mean, can you even have that many big-time guys on one defensive line? I don’t know. It seems pretty unlikely to me.”
