Former Detroit Lions player Za’Darius Smith, who could make a return to the team in 2025, recently made his relationship with Detroit rapper and actress Kash Doll Instagram official. The couple shared glimpses of their time together in Ghana, with videos showing them enjoying an event and Smith placing his hand on Kash’s shoulder at what appeared to be a club.

The two have since posted more photos of each other on their Instagram Stories, including one of them walking hand-in-hand down a hallway, likely in a hotel. Kash Doll, a well-known figure in Detroit’s hip-hop scene, has made a significant impact over the last decade with hits like “For Everybody” and “Ice Me Out.” She is recognized for her bold style and confident delivery.

This relationship might give Smith a reason to stay in Detroit, especially if the Lions decide to bring him back in some capacity. Although the Lions released Smith during the offseason to free up cap space, the decision surprised many, especially given the team had traded a fifth- and sixth-round pick for him just a few months earlier.

Despite being released, Smith’s strong performance—including four sacks, 10 QB hits, and three tackles—has kept him on the radar of NFL teams. As a three-time Pro Bowler, he’s expected to find a team soon. Some believe there’s still a chance he could return to Detroit, especially if other offers fall short of his expectations. Given the circumstances, his potential return to the Lions remains a possibility, especially with Kash Doll’s support.
