Otega Oweh Enters NBA Draft Process While Keeping College Option Open
Kentucky Wildcats guard Otega Oweh has officially entered the 2025 NBA Draft process while choosing to retain his college eligibility, he revealed Tuesday via Instagram. This move, which many anticipated after his strong junior campaign, allows him to explore professional opportunities without fully committing just yet.
Oweh has until June 15 at 5 PM ET to decide whether to remain in the draft or return to college basketball.
“To the incredible Big Blue Nation – being able to play the sport I love every day with your constant support, along with that of my family and friends, has been an absolute blessing. I’m excited to announce that I’ve declared for the 2025 NBA Draft while keeping my NCAA eligibility intact,” Oweh shared in his announcement.
The former Oklahoma transfer made a significant impact in his first season at Kentucky, putting up averages of 16.2 points on 49.2% shooting, 4.7 rebounds, 1.7 assists, and 1.6 steals per game, while connecting on 35.5% of his three-point attempts.
Now, the decision-making period begins.
