– Bolzano, Italy — World-renowned tennis star Jannik Sinner has announced a major philanthropic initiative aimed at closing the digital divide in his home region. The 23-year-old Italian athlete has donated more than 2,000 laptops to students and families in need across Northern Italy, marking one of his most significant community contributions to date.

The donation, made through the Jannik Sinner Foundation, will provide students with essential tools for digital learning, particularly those in underserved areas who have struggled with access to technology since the shift toward online education in recent years.

> “I believe every child deserves access to education, no matter their background,” said Sinner. “This donation is about giving young people the opportunity to learn, grow, and build their futures—without being held back by a lack of resources.”

The laptops, which come preloaded with educational software and productivity tools, are being distributed in collaboration with local schools, nonprofit organizations, and youth centers. The initiative aims not only to improve learning outcomes but also to empower communities by supporting long-term access to technology.

Community leaders have hailed the donation as a transformative move. “This effort by Jannik Sinner will impact generations,” said Alessia Romano, Director of Education for the Province of Bolzano. “Access to technology is no longer optional—it’s essential. Jannik’s commitment to education is both timely and deeply appreciated.”

This act of giving reflects Sinner’s ongoing commitment to social responsibility. In addition to his success on the tennis court, he has been a consistent advocate for youth development, sports access, and education equality.
