The Detroit Lions have officially announced the full schedule for their 2025 training camp, offering fans several chances to witness the team’s preparation for the upcoming NFL season. This year’s training camp will feature a mix of public practices, exclusive sessions, and joint workouts with visiting teams, giving both die-hard supporters and casual fans a variety of ways to engage with the team.
In total, the Lions will host six practices that are fully open to the public, along with four additional sessions that are restricted to special guests and invited groups. The team’s first public event is set for Saturday, July 26, but access to that initial practice will be exclusive to Lions Loyal Members, a reward for the team’s most dedicated fan base. Then, on Monday, July 28, the gates open wider as the first fully public practice of training camp takes place, allowing fans of all backgrounds to get an inside look at the team’s workouts.
As part of their ramp-up to the regular season, the Lions will host joint practices with two other NFL franchises, continuing a preseason tradition that offers valuable, competitive reps. The Miami Dolphins will visit Detroit for two consecutive joint sessions on Wednesday, August 13, and Thursday, August 14, with both practices beginning at 10:30 a.m. These sessions are expected to be particularly competitive, as both teams look to sharpen their playbooks and test their depth charts.
Following those practices, the Lions will also welcome the Houston Texans for a single joint practice on Thursday, August 21, also scheduled for a 10:30 a.m. start. These joint practices give players a chance to compete against unfamiliar opponents before preseason games begin, while also offering fans an exciting atmosphere to watch high-level competition up close.
Although these training camp events are free to attend, fans are required to register for tickets in advance through the team’s official website. Ticket registration will begin on July 15, and fans are encouraged to act quickly, as availability may be limited for certain dates.
All open practices—including the joint sessions—will be held at the Detroit Lions’ headquarters and training facility in Allen Park, Michigan, providing a familiar and accessible setting for supporters to cheer on their team as the new season approaches.
