Yolett McPhee-McCuin and the Ole Miss Rebels are soaring on the recruiting front this summer, having compiled what is likely the No. 1 Transfer Portal Class in America to date.

With a few acquisitions already sealed down, McPhee-McCuin and Co. are immediately making their impact across Week 1 of the portal window, securing several SEC transfers to the haul.

Ole Miss began its portal recruiting triumphs with Tennessee transfer Talaysia Cooper signing with the program, followed by Boise State center Emily Howard formalizing her commitment.

The Rebels have continued their success by signing two additional players. What will Ole Miss gain from the signees?

Meet the Signees: Commitment No. 3 and No. 4

No. 1: Maya Anderson, San Jose State

McPhee-McCuin continues to be active in the portal, having secured Maya Anderson, a two-way player from San Jose State, for the 2025-26 season.

Maya is a hidden treasure, according to McPhee-McCuin. Her endurance and physicality will allow her to easily adapt to this league! Her potential is limitless, and I can’t wait for her to rejoin us on campus!

Anderson started all 32 games for San Jose State in the 2025-26 season, leading the Spartans in scoring (13. 9), rebounding (6. 7), and steals (1. 4).

Before redshirting the 2024-25 season, the Toronto, Ontario native started 17 of 24 games as a genuine rookie, averaging 5. 4 points per game and shooting 63. 3% from the free throw line.

Anderson scored a career-high 29 points against Sacramento State this season and grabbed 15 rebounds against Colorado State in the Spartans’ regular season finale.

She received five MVP awards in high school, including the 2022 Conference Championship MVP honor, and then guided Crestwood Preparatory College to the 2023 Ontario Scholastic Basketball Association State Championship the following year.

Anderson competed in the Biosteel All-Canadian Game during her junior and senior years, which pits the best high school basketball players from across Canada against one another.

No. 2: Knisha Godfrey, Florida.

McPhee-McCuin and her team continue to reload for the 2026-27 season, signing Knisha Godfrey, a guard from Florida, on Friday.

Knisha is a veterinarian who is familiar with the SEC, according to McPhee-McCuin. Team 52 will need her leadership abilities, as well as her understanding of the game. She is a floor general who wants to improve everyone around her. We are thrilled to have her end her career with us at Ole Miss.

Godfrey will be a useful addition to the Rebels as an in-conference transfer, having played in 31 games for the Gators last season, averaging 2. 2 points and 2. 4 rebounds in 13. 3 minutes off the bench. Before the season, she represented Florida at the 2025 USA Basketball 3X National Championships.

Before transferring to Gainesville, Godfrey played for TCU, where she recorded 25 points and 13 assists in 93 minutes as a junior.

The Columbus, Ohio native featured in 26 games her freshman season, averaging a career-high 26 points and eight rebounds in the season opener against Lipscomb before redshirting.

Godfrey was ranked as the No. 40 player in the country and the eighth-best point guard in the class of 2021 by espnW during his senior year of high school.

She helped Tampa Bay Technical win the Florida 8A title, the program’s first state championship, while also making two final four appearances, two regional championships, and three district crowns.
