Ole Miss women’s basketball head coach Yolett McPhee-McCuin finished her frontcourt rebuild by signing Rachael Okokoh, a forward from Penn State, on Saturday.

Rachael’s dedication has completed our interior need, according to McPhee-McCuin. Her greatest basketball is yet to come. She is athletic, talented, and has exceptional basketball IQ. I anticipate that Rachael will adapt smoothly to our league. She will affect us right away.

Okokoh appeared in 25 games for the Nittany Lions last season, averaging 1. 1 points on a 45. 0 shooting percentage from the field, 1. 6 rebounds, and 0. 3 assists. The 6-foot-4 forward is joining Ole Miss as a sophomore and will try to establish himself as a valuable inside asset for the Rebels, who are renowned for developing their transfer post players, including Christeen Iwuala and Rita Igbokwe.

The Montreal, Quebec, native competed for Canada in the 2024 U17 World Cup and the 2023 16U AmeriCup while in high school. Okokoh is a regular participant of Team Ontario at the Canadian Provincial Championships, earning All-Tournament accolades and inclusion on the All-Canadian Biosteele squad.

Joining Maya Anderson, Talaysia Cooper, Knisha Godfrey, and Emily Howard as the fifth Rebels addition via the transfer portal, Ole Miss now has eight student-athletes on its 2026-27 squad, including returnees Desrae Kyles, Lauren Jacobs, and Sira Thienou.
