Unfortunate information was released by the Detroit Lions on Thursday.
On Tuesday’s OTA practice, rookie wide receiver Kendrick Law tore his ACL during a noncontact drill, according to Lions head coach Dan Campbell.
Campbell said he hates it for him. The child was doing well. However, it is a component of it. It’s a brutal reality. He will complete it quickly, allowing him to focus on his whole career.
That’s a little bad, but everyone else is doing well, so I don’t want to begin there. Everyone else is making progress.
With pick No. 168 in the fifth round, the Lions moved up to select Law from Kentucky. Law led Kentucky in both receptions (53) and receiving yards (540) in 2025, when he was a 5-foot-11, 203-pound receiver. He scored three touchdowns with the Wildcats last year.
According to 247Sports, Law began his collegiate career at Alabama, joining the Crimson Tide as a four-star signee in the 2022 class. Over three seasons with the Crimson Tide, the Shreveport, La. , native hauled in 33 receptions for 343 yards and one touchdown.
Law collected four touchdowns, 883 yards, and 86 receptions during his collegiate career.
Law was regarded as a prospective replacement for Kalif Raymond. In his college career, Law returned 32 kickoffs for 710 yards (22. 9 average). Law was fourth in the SEC last season with an average of 23. 8 yards per kickoff return.
