After posting a picture from Halas Hall on his social media, it became clear that former Detroit Lions practice squad member Maurice Alexander Jr. was preparing to sign a reserve/futures contract with the Chicago Bears.
NFL reporter Aaron Wilson of Houston’s KPRC has now confirmed that the deal is official.
Alexander went undrafted in 2020 after spending four years at Florida International University. He earned First-Team All-Conference USA honors as a punt returner in 2018, the same year he transitioned to wide receiver after playing quarterback for his first two seasons with the Panthers.
