Is that appropriate? It has been amazing to see Caitlin Clark’s ascent to stardom. The offensively gifted guard has essentially taken over women’s college basketball and is currently dominating the WNBA.

One of the most captivating and well-liked players in the developing league, Clark was named to the WNBA All-Star team as a rookie.

However, her decision to skip the Three-Point Contest drew criticism, especially from Skip Bayless, who compared Clark’s choice to that of NBA player LeBron James.

Clark declined to participate in the WNBA’s Three-Point Contest this year, as did Sabrina Ionescu of the New York Liberty, who won the tournament the previous year and faced Stephen Curry in a highly anticipated three-point shootout at NBA All-Star Weekend in February.

Before the All-Star Game, Clark was questioned about why she chose not to participate in the tournament. Clark declared, “I’ve been playing basketball for a year straight.”

It’s not simple to simply turn up and fire off a rack. I’ve never done anything like it before. I haven’t got much opportunity to practice it. I have been playing to assist my team win. simply savoring this vacation. I’ll have lots of chances to accomplish that in the future.

Clark remarked, “I need a break and some time to myself to enjoy what I want to do.” “Being in this situation can be difficult at times, but I believe it’s best for my own health.”

Some were understandably unhappy with Clark’s decision, even if the explanation makes sense given that rookies like Clark and Angel Reese have been playing almost nonstop for the past nine months due to the WNBA season’s scheduling.

For much of his long career, Bayless has focused on attacking LeBron. He noted that Clark’s decision to not participate in the Three-Point Contest reminded him of LeBron’s repeated refusal to take part in the NBA’s Slam Dunk Contest.

Bayless wrote on X, the former Twitter platform, “Surprised & disappointed Caitlin Clark didn’t participate in last night’s 3-Point Contest.” “She is the women’s basketball equivalent of Steph Curry.” However, she claimed that even having played nonstop for a year, it’s challenging to simply turn up and fire off a rack.

LeBronesque in terms of the Dunk Competition. LeBron, the most popular player in the NBA, is among the most athletic and thrilling athletes of all time, but he has strangely never participated in the Slam Dunk Contest.

He repeatedly toyed with the notion, but in the end he never decided to compete, which has infuriated a lot of media people and fans.
