The Tennessee Lady Vols have finally had some positive news on the transfer site. After hosting one of the top transfer portal candidates, the Lady Vols have made their first transfer portal acquisition, landing someone who is projected to be a day-one starter in orange and white.

The Lady Vols have signed Liberty Flames transfer Avery Mills, who will be a junior in college this year. In 2025-2026, she concluded the season with 15. 3 points, 4. 0 rebounds, and 2. 2 assists. She is also a superb three-point shooter, with a shooting rate of just under 50%. She was one of the better players in college basketball, and she would be far more well-known if she were doing so at an SEC institution, which she will now have the opportunity to do.

He shot well from the field (51. 9%), three-point range (46. 2%), and the free throw line (91. 3%), hitting 18 consecutive free throws to end the season.
Scored in double figures nine times, including a career-high 19 points against both Tennessee (Nov. 16) and Randolph (Dec. 11), while also making a career-high five 3-pointers against Randolph.
Excelled against FIU, scoring 14 points in a Jan. 25 home victory and a team-high 15 points at FIU on Feb. 22.
In the final eight games of the season, he reached double figures five times. The period included a March 8 regular-season finale against Western Kentucky, during which she scored all 13 of her points in a 4:46 stretch spanning the third and fourth quarters of Liberty’s come-from-behind victory.
On March 14, he led all players with 17 points in a CUSA semifinal victory over Louisiana Tech.
