The Cleveland Browns once again found themselves on the wrong side of the scoreboard, falling 34-10 to the Detroit Lions. Despite showing flashes of promise, the loss highlighted the same recurring issues that have plagued the team all season — offensive struggles, costly penalties, and breakdowns in special teams.
The Browns’ defense did its part, limiting one of the league’s most explosive offenses for stretches of the game. However, the offense simply couldn’t match that intensity. Missed opportunities, dropped passes, and a lack of rhythm left fans frustrated as the team stumbled to another lopsided defeat.
Cleveland supporters wasted no time voicing their disappointment on social media. Many pointed directly to the quarterback situation as the biggest concern. “You have to start Gabriel next week! Otherwise, the only excitement comes when the defense makes a play,” one fan wrote, criticizing veteran Joe Flacco’s inability to move the offense. Another added, “Thank you for everything, Flacco, but it’s Dillon Gabriel time.”
Head coach Kevin Stefanski was not spared from criticism either. Fans questioned his decision to continue starting Flacco over the rookie, with one commenter stating, “Don’t see how Stefanski survives the season. His stubbornness is holding this team back. The season is already over, give Gabriel a chance.” Others shared a sense of anticipation, with one fan writing, “Getting closer to seeing the rookie QBs!”
While the defense continues to shine, there are limits to how much it can carry the team. A punt return touchdown surrendered by the special teams unit swung momentum firmly in Detroit’s favor, and the Browns’ offense never recovered. Although not every turnover can be pinned on Flacco, the wide receivers also struggled with drops that stalled drives.
The lone bright spot came from rookie running back Quinshon Judkins, who once again provided a spark with his strong play. Alongside him, Cleveland’s rookie class has given fans hope for the future, even if the present feels bleak.
The Browns still have time to salvage their season, but adjustments are badly needed. If they continue down this path, frustration will only grow louder. For now, optimism lies in the potential of their young players, though fans are demanding change sooner rather than later.
